Pfizer has slashed its price of its erectile dysfunction drug Viagra 50 per cent in stock and generic versions.

Pfizer will make a similar price cut for its generic versions of erectile dysfunction medicine Cialis 5 mg and Levitra 10 mg, Pfizer said in a statement.

The price cut on Friday was the second price cut for erectile dysfunction medicine.

The first was made in September, after an independent regulator approved a new drug for pulmonary arterial hypertension, the company said.

Pfizer said that the price was also "part of a broader strategy to mitigate the financial burden on the company and its shareholders", it added.

Pfizer said it will also slash the cost of the erectile dysfunction drug from £11.20 a tablet to £9.85 a tablet by an amount of £4.80 a tablet, it said.

The price cut on Friday was the second time in 14 months that a generic version of the drug was to be cheaper, the drugmaker added.

Shares of Pfizer fell 4.4 percent after the announcement.

Pfizer said it will make a similar price cut for its generic Viagra 50 per cent in stock and generic Levitra 10 mg tablets the same as Viagra 50 per cent, but with the branded version of the drug being cheaper.

The price cut on Friday was the second time in 14 months that generic versions of erectile dysfunction medicine Cialis and sildenafil were to be cheaper, the company said.

The price cut on Friday was the second time in 14 months that sildenafil was to be cheaper, Pfizer said.

The price cut on Friday was the second time in 14 months in a row men suffering erectile dysfunction were told they could have a private consultation with a GP to determine their suitability for treatment.

The drugmaker said it would work with men suffering from erectile dysfunction to change men's sexual history to cases when they first started taking the drug and will work with their GP to find out how many times more severe side effects can be caused by the drug.

Men aged under 18 should see a GP if they have had a heart attack in the past 6 months or if they have or have certain chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure or diabetes.

Pfizer said it will work with their GP to find out how many times more severe side effects can be caused by the drug.

If a man with a rare inherited eye disease is prescribed the drug for erectile dysfunction, it should only be prescribed under a specialist doctor who will ask about his medical history and potential risk factors.

Men taking drugs to treat blood pressure or high blood pressure will not be prescribed the drug as it will not affect their sexual ability.

In 2014, Viagra sales plunged by 85 per cent to estimated $4.61 billion from $1.85 billion in sales in the same period in 2017.

In the US,ormonal contraceptives like (Viagra) can cause changes in the size of the residual urine produced. This can affect the flow of urine to the penis, potentially causing permanent stones or enlarged prostates.

In the United Kingdom, recently introduced diuretics (commonly prescribed for enlarged prostates) can cause symptoms in males who take Viagra. These can include an enlarged prostate, increased urge to urinate, and difficulty urinating.

To minimize risks, healthcare providers should closely monitor male patients taking these medications. If you develop symptoms of a diuretic-related adverse reaction, seek medical attention immediately.
